The Human Resource application provides the functionality of management of:- Employee Data, including, Personal data, emergency data, benefits management, employee events, dependents, work history, educational background, medical information, ailments, claims and settlements, leave management, grievances, disciplinary actions, matters at the industrial court, training and development, skills, and appraisals. From the company point of view, HRp delivers tools to assist Management in career planning, succession planning, in monitoring:- medical providers, industrial matters, resource budgeting, training programmes, performance management, dynamic job function management, employee seeking, employee rostering or scheduling, and accidents and injuries.  The structure of HRp and the multiple relationships which exist within the relational database which is provided with the system, allows the User to view employee information in many ways. Tables which define the category, type, location, section, department, and branch are associated with each employee file which enhance the reporting opportunities to the User.

Applications and applicants management is also very integral to HRp providing Management with the ability to completely manage the application process which includes:- automatic responses, documentary requests for ‘Testing’, ‘Interviews’, ‘Offers of Employment’ and the like. Employment of the applicant is a smooth integrated process with data moving from applicants files to employees files with almost no human intervention.

Documentation management is provided to address all types of HR documents within the organisation. Management has full control of what these documents will look like with the ability to merge data fields into same.

To attempt to have an HR department deal with all of these issues by itself would be to deny the success of the application particularly in larger organisations. In recognising this, HRp was designed to allow each employee to act as an operator or arm of the system, having access to only their own data areas. As such employees may make changes to most of their own data files which will not impact negatively on the company viz. Personal data, emergency data, events, medial claims, requests for training, requests for change of jobs, dependants, contacts management, personal scheduling and appointments, email and leave requests.

An Employee Portal is also delivered with the system which allows employees to view their data on-line and to make sepcific requests to the HR Department.

Every action in HRp which requires documentation, such as an advance notice to employees of events, application acknowledgements etc., are automatically created and saved in the Individual User’s “HRp Outbox â”.

HRp’s reports number more than two hundred, varying from automatically generated reports to system file listings. The optional reporting SQL tool, WinQL â, is available to take full advantage of HRp’s data.

HRp interfaces its organisational report to the AllClear OrgChart product which is bundled with HRp. This provides a clean graphical chart output which may be further manipulated by the User within the AllClear Orgchart system.
