What is ezGift (TM)

TSL's ezGift Card is the only real Gift Card available in Trinidad and Tobago today. Some institutions have introduced a stored value card using their own branding as a gift card to the market. This does have the effect of allowing the consumer to use the card as a method of payment but nullifies the true benefit of a gift card which major attraction is that of being able to have the customer return to the store for repeat business.

Gift cards are available in the denomination of choice and with a selection of customer based rules. In some instances customers provide gift cards with a six month expiry and in others, a twelve month expiry.

The gift card is not activated until sold. At such time, the actual store branded card is swiped at the ezGift Card Terminal, (which may also be a top-up terminal), the value being sold is entered and then the account is activated at TSL's hosting division. The gift card can only be used at the store or branches of the store at which it was sold. Store owners have the ability to review their sales on-line as well as to determine the value of the unused portions of each and every card.
